PEBRA (Peer-Educator-Based Refill of ART)

  • Adolescents face particular challenges in accessing and adhering to therapy.

  • In close collaboration with different local stakeholdersin Lesotho, we designed a service delivery and health care model specifically for adolescents, called the PEBRA model. The PEBRA model is delivered and coordinated by a peer-educator and a tablet application (PEBRApp) In the PEBRA model, a peer-educator first assesses the HIV service preferences of their peers, and then differentiates the services according to these preferences in a feasible manner.
